The CzecHemp cluster, together with its international partners, has released the strategic document “Strategic Roadmap for the Revival of Hemp Textile Fibre Production in Central Europe” for the 2026–2035 period. This summary study maps key market opportunities in the context of EU regulatory changes and outlines three specific technological pathways for hemp fibre processing within the Visegrad Four region and middle Germany.
The objective of the initiative, which stems from the project “Preparing conditions for the revival of the hemp textile industry in V4 countries and beyond“, is to outline a path toward closing gaps within the supply chain and to enable local growers and processors to supply hemp fibre of the required industrial quality and volume for the regional textile industry. The project was implemented with the financial support of the International Visegrad Fund.
